The San Luis Obispo Regional Airport (McChesney Field) is located near the Tolosa Winery, the San Luis Obispo Golf and Country Club, Laguna Lake, and Laguna Lake State Park, and the California Polytechnic State University. It is located south of San Luis Obispo, CA. Other nearby cities include: Pismo Beach, CA; Grover Beach, CA; Avenal, CA; Atascadero, CA; Taft, CA; King City, CA and Arroyo Grande, CA. United Express Flights operated by SkyWest and US Airways fly into and out of San Luis Obispo Regional Airport (McChesney Field). Currently, flights to and from Loa Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix land daily. The FAA gave San Luis Obispo Regional Airport (McChesney Field) a grant for their terminal design in August of 2010. In October the airport temporarily moved parking around to allow for construction of the new terminal. The communities surrounding the airport are actively seeking flights to and from Sacramento, Denver, & Seattle at this time. Lots 4 and 5 cost $8 per day. All long term parking is limited to fourteen days and any additional time must be pre-approved by airport authorities.
