About

El Paso International Airport (ELP) is a place full of history. The idea of a municipal airport was inspired and encouraged by Charles A. Lindbergh. In its 83 years of service, thanks to its unique position, at the border of three states and two countries, the airport grew in size and importance, and now it is a gateway to West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northern Mexico. Over 3 million passengers and 90.000 cargo tons have been serviced in 2010 alone- a testament to the professionalism and dedication of the airport’s well-trained staff. Currently, on El Paso International Airport, there are 6 operating companies you can choose from- American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airlines. Cargo is maneuvered in the most modern air cargo center near the mexican border. DHL, UPS and FedEx are some of the companies that operate from here. The airport can also provide lots of opportunities, from shopping to car rentals, and even unique sport opportunities, thanks to the golf courses offered by the Butterfield Trail Golf club, conveniently placed near their location. if you want, you can try The Food Court, a place that blends US brands -Starbucks Coffee, Pizza Hut, with a taste of local cuisine, provided by Carlos and Mickey’s Express. In this airport you can even find a Harley- Davidson store, if you feel more adventurous. Leather for everybody! Over the years, the airport has also taken interest in cultural events, hosting various exhibits that highlighted artwork created by children. El Paso International Airport will continue to develop further, with the ultimate goal to better accommodate passenger needs, and will continue to provide high-quality services for all interested parties.
