The Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport is a non-hub commercial service airport just 8 miles north of Charlottesville on Airport Road. Located in Albemarle county Virginia, CHO boasts plenty of tourism traffic into central VA. Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport runs 46 daily non-stop flights through; Delta Connection, United Express and US Airways Express, back and forth to Charlotte, Pennsylvania, New York/LaGuardia, Washington/Dulles and Atlanta, Georgia with plans of adding another service to Chicago O’Hare come June 9th. Known for its warm and friendly atmosphere, Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport offers free WiFi inside their 60,000 square foot terminal as well as other modern amenities. Some of these include electronic ticketing, check-in and boarding passes. Plans are already underway to bring about an all new remote registration kiosk for members of the TSA approved Registered Traveler Program which should all be unveiled in the near future.
